Jeff Campbell scored 16 points, and he made eight of 10 free throws in the last 1:02 – including his last six – to lead the Allen boys to a 71-68 win over defending Class 5A state champion Plano.

Allen (17-7, 4-4 District 9-5A) held Plano point guard John Roberson to 16 points, including three in the second half. Roberson, a Texas Tech signee, scored 36 points in Plano's 91-83 double-overtime win over Allen on Dec. 22.

Plano (19-6, 5-3) fell into a tie for second place in District 9-5A.
