Dec 17, 2011 - PLANO STAR REVIEW OF PLANO BASKETBALL - After eking out a playoff berth last season, the latest edition of the Wildcats will have a very different look in 2011-12.

Senior Austin Mitchell is the only returning starter and has been the team's lone lock for double-digit scoring. Seniors Shawn James and Travis Warman, who were reserves last season, have taken on expanded roles with senior Dwayne Hicks also bolstering the frontcourt.

A few more late stands in games could have drastically altered the Wildcats' 5-8 non-district record -- a sign of the team's inexperience. That same inexperience keeps Plano out of the postseason.
